I love Mondays!

I love Mondays! Do you?

Patio, Sunshine, Networking, what's not to love about today!

Don't get me wrong I love massage therapy! I love helping my clients lead and live a pain free lifestyle! But I love doing this a few days a week, not 6 days a week 12 hours a day...hence my desperation to look for another way.  Through trial, error and risk I finally found something that's working for me! Why I think you should look at Nerium for your own benefit...Why do I do Nerium being a healthcare professional, I mean I have no desire to be a beautician or skin care expert...here is why! http://youtu.be/BJQDQ-n-M-s

Happy Monday to you friends!

Enjoying Life! Living my passions!

Caution: my grammar is probably awful! Cell phone problems!....anyhow

Well it's been a busy few months for me! Business has really taken off and allowed me more time for freedom! I haven't been blogging but my journal is full of goodies! I have been doing a lot of self work lately so I'm sorry haven't included any of this in my blog. Personal growth is down times a journey we share when we are confident enough to do so...which I feel I now am! We celebrated our first wedding anniversary over free champagne in Rome, walked the markets in Florence and strolled the beaches of the Amalfi Coast!! So many great stories to share with you! Since we got back we added a new family me ever to or duo! Meet Leo!

Leo enjoys canoeing with us! It's something we love to do, ao we have been trying to enjoy life a bit more this summer!

I love being a small business owner it has it's perks but residual income is more of a blessing than I could imagine! This past year I have been paid while sitting on theDominican  and Mexican beaches, I've been paid floating in a canoe, drinking wine in Montreal and while filling my soul up in Europe.  I've had a small taste of freedom which brings me back to you, the viewers.

What are you doing in life to live each day as full as you can? Are you working towards that goal? Thinking about it? Or have you lost the ability to dream that is even possible?

I too have been in the cave. The prison so to speak.

Are you open to finding a way out? I can share one option with you. I know where I am going the question is, where are you going and can I help you get there?

Hope you all had a blessed weekend!

Cheers! Stephanie

Four words, with MAJOR IMPACT!

Four words, with MAJOR IMPACT!

We all know that one person. That person who constantly complains about a situation or circumstance and yet they keep doing the same old things over and over expecting a different result.  That my friends is the definition of insanity.  Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.  I watch many people I care about go about and live their life this way.  Clients that complain of pain yet they don't do the exercises you recommend, friends who constantly hate their jobs (regardless of how many they go through), people who want things in life but have no real plan to get them.  I am okay with complaining, I know I need to get better at doing less of it myself, but when you don't have a solution or plan to solve your problem at the end of the rant, your just babbling words that bring you down.

The only way to get something worth having is to go and get it yourself.  Hoping for or finding the easy way will only get you lost. Complaining will keep you in the cycle.  There are no easy ways, you can't count on more money, better health or improved relationships waiting for the easy road or better yet...waiting for luck.

Change your mindset change your life.  I've often been told, I couldn't do what you do.  What is it that I do? I went to school, got a job or two and decided to make a choice, a choice to create my own employment.  Security for me is very important instead of complaining I'm choosing to create security, for myself, my family and my future.  I didn't go to school to run a business but I do it, I am terrified of judgement and socializing with strangers, yet I am in relationship marketing, I am nothing more than anyone nor am I anything less, I am just a human being, like you.  I have a desire to make it work, a faith to know it will and the persistence and consistency to ensure it happens.  Those four things change everything: desire faith persistence and consistency. That's all that separates the successful ones from the unsuccessful ones.  This holds true for your health, your relationships, your finances...pretty much all aspects of your life will flourish if you have desire, faith, persistence and consistency.  It's true, if you have ever applied this method you know it to be so, if not, there's no better time to start than the present.

Someone said to me a while back that I may be following the masses and I should be careful.  I had a few simple questions.  What do you do in the morning when you first get up.  Walk me through your morning. Well I get up make my coffee, read the paper and get ready for work.  Okay....and after that? Well I drive to work and start my work week.  Oh I see, do you work 8 hours a day roughly, 5 days a week? Well yeah, why do you ask?  Well every day Monday-Friday a large portion of the population gets up makes a coffee and reads the paper or checks the news, they then get ready for work and proceed to do this 5 days a week for about 8 hours a day, does that sound like following the masses a little more to you? ........ As you might guess I did not get a response.  Again change your thoughts change your life.

All you need to do to be successful in all areas of your life, whichever are important to you, is that you must first change your thoughts.  In order to do this you will need desire and faith, being consistent and persistent will make it pay off in the long run.  Once you start growing as a "better" person inside, being a happier more positive human being you will then start to attract what you want and need in life.  Happy people attract happy people, and people connect with people not things.

So next time you complain, continue for a minute and start on the solution.  There are always two outcomes, what you can do about it and what you can't.  Try to focus on what's possible.

Hope this can make you think going into your weekend!  Happy Friday all!

From Skeptic to Success- Opportunity lies here!

The first month of 2015 has come and gone.  What did you do with it?  We have 86, 400 seconds each day.  What have you been doing with them?  Let me share a little of what I have been doing with mine!

This past month I have had a taste of the freedom I have been working for since college.  For the past 10 years I have been working hard to create the life I want.  I have tried the corporate thing, 9-5 is not for me!  College was great, I love what I do, massage and helping people deal with their pain is one of my passions, however it has been one of the hardest jobs I have ever had!  Being self employed with no business training was tough. Although I feel I have been very successful in this field, the problem is every dollar I make is dependant upon my time or my continual efforts. There is always something to do!  After 6 + years of owning a business you get tired and start to forget why you are doing what you are doing at times, I am lucky I have great friends, family, staff and support so I can get through those times and come back too.  I have also dabbled in things like network marketing, one company I have been with for 6 years or so just wasn't marketable or profitable.  I believed in the product, I still do but with a high cost for clients, no rewards for the clients or partners and high monthly quotas to meet just to make a few dollars,  made it very hard to sell.  Ugh just typing the word sell makes me cringe.  My next direct sales company was full of great women, but the products I found were replaceable.  They weren't exclusive in their results or performance.  At the time there was a high monthly auto-ship and I found it impossible to get anyone to order if from me unless I gave them my discount, long story short I made one check for $25.00 in 2 years, so eventually I gave it up.  I lost my hope for the direct sales, network marketing companies and started to prepare myself to work hard for a lifetime and accept this was how I would get ahead in life.

I then met the two people who would change my life for the better.  I admired their passion for life, their inspirational messages, videos and books.  Little did I know these people I looked up too would be my business partners one day!  They were apart of yet again another network marketing company, I was devastated.  Why, Why, Why are they apart of something I can't be good at!  For two years I tried to convince myself to join there team.  I was so skeptical, I went to meetings, events, coffee dates and kept looking to find something that would attract me to this company other than the fact that it would look good on my counter in my clinic.  I couldn't wrap my head around how to make any money or help other people to make a separate income on the side with it.  It was a constant get sales business and I am not good at selling anything, period.  Then just as I was about to sign my life away to something I knew wouldn't work, just to have more access to my mentors I got the email. Subject line: We are not longer with *****

I was devastated, I had finally convinced myself to rejoin the network marketing world, I was going to have my chance to work with my mentors and then they decided to do what I thought was crazy, they joined Nerium International.  Skin care, skin care, NOOO!! I just got out of skin care a few years ago.  Why oh why!  For a few weeks I felt lost.  I was prepping to go back to school and face the fact I needed to have  JOB for the rest of my life and retire if I was lucky.  Then it hit me, why would people having success in one company leave over night for another?  What if this wasn't just skin care?  What if they were onto something?

I decided that night to go out to a "market party" by myself (something I had done many times before for many other companies) I actually remember calling my family on the way and saying I don't know why I am going, its probably just like all the others.... I must say I left that event with more hope, more inspiration, more motivation and more joy than I had experienced in months prior.  These were real people, with a real exclusive product that was changing peoples lives. The best part is there was no real selling involved, just sharing.  Now that was something I could do, I am great at sharing! When I left instead of not understanding how I was going to make an income, I couldn't figure out how the company was making theirs.  It was like they were giving inventory, product and opportunity away for FREE.  That night I made a decision to join Nerium on my own.  Finally I had a vehicle with multiple seats on the bus.  I didn't have to choose between my success and someone else's because they now truly go hand in hand.

This past month I have seen the freedom and residuals that come from being with Nerium.  I earned my free IPad in my first 45 days which to me had to be a fluke, until I watched 3 other people do the same thing, in less time than I did!  This past week I went to Mexico with my husband, WRITE OFF, I also got paid while sitting on the beach drinking a pina colada.  I love that I can get paid off of the work I had already done, over and over again! I am helping my team retire their husbands, pay off their student loans and be able to do what they truly love for they no longer need to worry about money coming in from a pay check or an employer. I get to give people the opportunity to take life into their own hands.  Its so simple.  Anyone can do it.  Including YOU!

You can do what you love, you can create the life you want and you can skip out on the 40/40/40 plan.  All you need to do it look at a better option....because options are a beautiful thing!

Lets talk today to see if Nerium is right for you, 2 minutes could change your life!

Never give UP!

Happy FRIDAY!!

Okay readers, I have been on quite the roller coaster lately.  The past year and a half has been crazy. Blood, sweat, tears, laughter and joy have come my way.  As some of you know I opened a new business Lavandula Wellness Centre on my own last year.  Without help from friends and family it wouldn't have been possible.  Although I had a tonne of support its hard to feel like I wasn't "in" it by myself.  This might be because most nights when I was at the office late, I was alone.  When the bills came, it was just my name on the invoice and when the problems came up, I was the one responsible for fixing them. With all the support in the world sometimes you are still left in the arena alone to fight and defend, to win the game so to speak.  In those moments of weakness, defeat and confusion I would never have imagined I would be where I am today.  I am not rich by any means, but I am smarter, stronger and have failed enough times to know failure is the key to reaching success.  In the past year where I felt as though all my efforts were failing, they weren't.  I was planting seeds, nourishing them and hoping they would grow. My seeds didn't sow right away, they took their time. Had I stopped nourishing them when I thought it wasn't worth it anymore I wouldn't have met tonnes of amazing people who continue to support me, and show me whats possible.  I wouldn't have placed 8/40 for the Top 40 Under 40 business awards. I wouldn't have double ranked and met my short term goals with my new company I've joined, Nerium International, I wouldn't have had any nominations in the Hamilton Spectator and Lavandula wouldn't have been nominated in the Gold category for Holistic Health or placed Top 10 in the massage section nor would I have placed where I did in the paper.  I don't tell you this to brag, I tell you this to show you that just because you don't see the results, just because you can't grab a hold of that success and see it, its still happening.  Thanks to my partnership with Nerium, I read a great book called the Slight Edge by Jeff Olsen, little did I know in some areas of my life I was already applying the Slight Edge Philosophy.  Now I am trying to apply this philosophy to all areas of my life.  To do little things no matter how insignificant them may seem at the time, consistently and persistently, until they compounded effect gives me the desired outcome I have been working towards.  I am grateful that a recent choice I made lead me to see how I was already applying this to my life and how with the Slight Edge Philosophy I can really change any area of my life I wish to change.  Whatever your dreams are go for them, don't stop. Don't let the nay-sayers and ankle bitters bring you down!  People are out there to suck the energy out of you because they wish they could have the drive to reach their dreams or they don't understand yours. Just remember WHY you are doing what you do, and let that drive you on forward!

Wishing you the best in whatever drives you forward!

Blessing and love sent your way!

5 Simple, Yet Productive Business Tips

Wow!  Its been too long!  Lots of things are happening, I have gotten so caught up in life...but I am back!

Sometimes I think we get so wrapped up into something new and exciting especially when we invest ourselves, physically, emotionally or financially.  For me that investment was Lavandula Wellness Centre.  I love being a massage therapist, its one of my passions.  Helping people be better fills my soul up.  Being an Entrepreneur isn't always peaches, and if you are the juiciest ripest peach on the tree, there will still be someone who doesn't like peaches.

I have learned many things over the past 6 years being self employed, a business owner and a "leader" ( I use the term loosely as I learned along the way with my teams).  Here are a few I want to share with you!

1.  Keep your head up, always.  You will have more positive thoughts about life in general, looking down when thinking leads to more negative thoughts.  I learned this when I read a great book The Slight Edge, grab a copy. It will change your life, if your ready.

2. When it gets hard, stay.  You never know what step will take you to the next level.  Most people will not succeed because they give up when it gets hard.  Seek mentorship, stay in the game.

3. Try and better yourself each day.  Without being the best person you can be, how can you teach anyone else too?  Read 10 pages of a good book, listen to a great audio CD on the way to work.  10 minutes or 10 pages daily can curb your thoughts.

4. People who help people get ahead are most successful.  Give back, volunteer, reach out, share opportunity.

5. Seek advice and mentorship from others who are already successfully doing what you are doing, or can help you in specific areas of your business.  Somethings you shouldn't do because realistically you can't do everything and do everything well.  If you ask in the right way, people are almost always willing to help!

Remember the sky is the limit!  Anything is possible.  Just work hard, seek advice from people who are qualified to give it and have some fun along the way too!

Peace and love your way,

Stephanie

Long Weekends are Made for PLAY!

Long Weekends are MADE for PLAY!

There are many components to a happy life.  One of them being play.  Rest is equally important however rest brings you to a play where you can finally enjoy play.
What do I mean when I speak of PLAY?  Play can be anything that fills your soul up.  Dr Stuart Brown, a researcher in play has a definition for play that I love!
Play is…
  • is voluntary
  • has no obvious survival value or is apparently purposeless
  • is pleasurable or fun
  • creates a diminished sense of time and self consciousness
  • is improvisational
There are different types of play.  You can plan it, get lost in it or find yourself.
For me play is creating and organzing.

Creating
I love to paint, I am not an “artist” in the eyes of the art community but inside myself I am one of the best.  Glitter, paint, collages, scrapbooking…I get lost in these things for hours.  This is my get lost inside myself play.  Sometimes its as simple as putting pictures into an Album.
Organizing
This is like play for me, because it fills me up.  Cleaning, sorting and freshening up spaces or areas makes me feel great inside.  Nothing is better than an organized, clean and creative space.  Less clutter leads to less stress.  So technically for me, housework can be play.  But only if I am doing it because I want to, not because I feel I have too!
Be careful not to force yourself into play often.  Take baby steps.  Maybe its a trip to the park with the kids, weeding your garden, making homemade bath salts or trying a new dance class.
Whatever you do get out and play this weekend!  How do you play?  Remember play is as important as rest, nutrition and self love!
Have a fantastic long weekend!  Stay safe and have fun with family and friends!  That’s what long weekends are all about!
Peace, love and blessings,
Stephanie Oliver (Muir) RMT
